Sony a6100 have IR remote control?
1

As far as I can tell, my old a6000 had support for an IR (infrared) remote control and the a6300 has it too, but my current a6100 does not. Am I correct? I've recently tried to set up a simple remote shutter release I had for my old camera and there seems to be no way to use it with the a6100 even thought I can find instructions for the models before and after it.

It looks like the only way I can remotely release the shutter is with a WiFi remote. They are more expensive and complicated. The remote shutter release I wanted had just two buttons, one to release the shutter instantly and another with a 2 second delay.

It's no big problem as I'll just continue use the camera's 2-second shutter delay to avoid camera shake in low light situations. I'm just confounded that IR support seems mission on this one model.
