Seems like you may be just trying to pick a fight. Do you mean that the photographs in  Ansel Adams' book. "Yosemite and the Range of Light", William Coupon's "Portraits" and Henri Cartier -Bresson's "Photographs" has blurry pictures and they're just a bunch of old snapshots, or just some unnamed book you were looking at?  If the pictures are really old, like Alfred Stieglitz, old, some of them may indeed be a bit blurry or grainy and still be brilliant.
