Well, not yet. Ordinance. Told the fishmonger that I'd hurry home and eat there instead. Turns out that I did not actually do so but stopped at the place in the photograph, at the canal. It's a boat, uh, plank? (what a gate is to a plane) for coal ships not arriving or departing during good unloading times at the nearby power plants.

One of the rather few situations where I let the raw processing software apply geometric correction to a DSC-R1 image (wide angle, straight lines in significant distance from the image center). The camera itself, being from 2005, does not bother doing so in its own JPEGs, resulting in noticeable barrel distortion. Not enough to notice in natural scenes, but man-made objects...

So I sat right before the mural and dug into the fish. I'll be a seagull yet.

A dock, I guess. And did you have chips as well as fish?

No, the customary thing would have been a bun to hold the fried fish but I did forego it in the expectation that I'd be eating it at home on a plate.  It was wrapped in aluminum foil and some non-absorbant paper and I probably did not look all too civilised eating it out of a plastic bag on my knees.

I mean, eating civilised is not really the point with that kind of fish anyway.

And your input to my high ISO post would be appreciated.

Uh oh.  I'll take a look and try voicing something appropriate.
