vertical mounting (eg. Panasonic HC-V770K) ?

For the past decade I have done only hobby and family videos. Now I'm doing a technical project where I need a camera mounted vertical or nearly so. My old Panasonic HDC-TM700 still works OK, except for one thing: this model has a bug when the camera is on a fixed support at a steep angle or looking down vertically, that causes the image to oscillate slightly side-to-side. This happens even when the stabilization function is OFF. I need to show small details as I work on a desk surface. The jitter, while small, is noticeable and looks unprofessional. Others reported this same issue back when this model came out in 2010, so it is not just me or my specific unit. For example search for panasonic-xx700-jittering-shaking-issue

I need a camera that works the same vertically as horizontally.

The HC-V770K looks reasonable from specs, but I would not expect Panasonic to admit such a flaw if it existed, just as they did not disclose it on model I have, and they never formally admitted Panasonic Japan rolled out a firmware fix that a few people claim they got through service centers, in the above-referenced thread.

Like mine, the V770K does have optical stabilization, so the possibility exists. Has anyone mounted a V770K vertically and been satisfied with it?
