Re: April in the lowland forest, Part 2

As said, I wanted to test a lens with an unruly and painterly bokeh. I found that the Chinon/Porst/Alpa(?) 55mm F1.7 MCM (presumably from Multi Coated Macro) gives such effects. It was once said to be the brightest macro lens, even if it only goes to 1:3 magnification. I got this lens together with a film camera for a very low price. The aperture is stuck to F1.7 where it has a lot of spherical and some chromatic aberrations. So I had to use it wide-open and even added a 9mm extension ring. I will probably come back with more samples and tests with this lens and similar ones. To me this lens has a Tomioka-like bokeh.
