Hi,

Just calibrated a new monitor with a SpyderX and get a nice 1.91 delta E. But max brightness is only 284 cd/m^2 instead of 300 cd/m^2 (manufacturer spec). Should I return it in the hope of getting a brighter unit, or is this kind of variance normal for monitors?

I guess also to consider is that the SpyderX itself has some inaccuracy. One review found it 5 cd/m^2 different from a i1display, so that could push it to 289 cd/m^2. Having said that, I measured another 300 nit monitor in my office at 311 nits, and a third 350 nit monitor as 377 nits, so my colorimeter seems to be measuring higher than true, if anything.
