focus/blur issues fujinon 100-400

i was taking some shots of a bird in a garden tree and got very little non-blurred results. at first a thought it might have been the wind, although there was very little of it. So i continued testing a bit and would appreciate some thoughts/advice of what is see:

- X-T3 with 100-400 at 400mm

- sturdy tripod from bedroom window inside

- 10 second timer

- ES (tried MF ... dos'nt make a difference, h-just used ES to avoid any shutter shake)

- Signle point focus (als MF with MF assist etc ...)

- CL -> takes 5 pictures

- shutterspeed 1/110 sec, Aperture 7.1

- OIS OFF !!

So i ended up with burst of the same subject where often all are blurry, sometimes 1 is really sharp. barely any wind outside.

If you look at these 2 images out of a 5 image burst, you can see the differences (focused on the middle), take a look at the flag, the nail in the center.

Original JPG images can be found here

i have no clue what can cause these type of differences at these shutter speeds and conditions.

Fujifilm X-T3
