A9 - Worth UHS-II card in Slot 1 if simultaneous JPEG to Slot 2?

Before anyone says “Search this forum” or “Google it”.... trust me... I’ve spent 30 minutes doing that and can’t find a simple, definitive answer to this question.

So... I have an A9 after using A7iii for last 18 months. Shooting sports. Having used a decent UHS-I in slot 1 on A7iii to write compressed RAW and another in slot 2 for back up JPEGs, I haven’t noticed any buffer impact when shooting bursts of 5-10 shots. There may have been, but I haven’t noticed.

Now, with A9, I will have more shots in a burst. So, will simultaneously saving backup JPEGs in Slot 2 slow down buffer clearing even if I put a decent UHS-II card in slot 1? To the extent that it’s not worth using a UHS-II card? Should I forget simultaneous recording if I want to fully exploit A9 speed? I’m looking at Lexar 2000x card or something similar.

Thanks in advance!
