D810, Live View, and Milky Way Photography
1

I absolutely love my D810 and haven't had the itch to replace it. I am a 99.99% landscape photographer so most nighttime photos are past my bedtime :). My son got into astrophotography (specifically Milky Way photos using his Z6) and convinced me to try. So I picked up a 20mm f1.8 Nikon lens and went out with him. I know the basics and was let down that the 810's Live View in near total darkness showed nothing to focus on unlike my son's much newer Z6 which allowed him to zoom in an fine tune his focus to his heart's content. Is there something I can do in camera settings to get LV to behave or am I just SOL with the 810 in this regard?
