The Canon T7 (1500D) lacks the self-cleaning sensor unit. I would not want to buy a camera without one. I've been using Canon DSLR cameras for about ten years and a few times I noticed a dust bunny. But soon after that, it's gone because all my cameras have that self-cleaning sensor unit. I've never had to clean the sensor, but then again I leave my lenses on my cameras (as much as I can). I use three of them with lenses attached continually.

You might consider the Canon T7i (800D) camera instead, for the price is not that much more. Check the reviews on the internet for comparisons that you might find.

I agree re the lack of self-cleaning sensor on theT7 (1500D). All my Canon DSLRs (starting back in 2008) have had self-cleaning sensor and I've never had a problem with anything on a sensor. I remember before I bought that first DSLR in 2008, a friend (who got an earlier DSLR without a self-cleaning sensor) warned me about how easy it was to get dirt etc on a sensor when changing lenses.

I also agree to check out the newer T7i (800D). I have that one and love it. It might well be the last "real" camera I buy; it's that good.
