Canon is not the only mirrorless camera manufacturer. People are allowed to switch.

Have you tried selling an EF lens lately? There are tons of 85mm f1.2 II and 70-200mm f4 lenses out there as people have been moving to Sony's mirrorless cameras. The big lenses are retaining some value since they're a niche lens, but even expensive Canon portrait lenses are plentiful on the used market.

When I put my 85mm f1.2 II on consignment at my local camera store, there were two others already for sale. I'm hoping this trend continues.
