I had an RP and used it with adapted EF lenses only.  It’s a great little camera for its price.  It replaced my 6D2 and gave me similar image quality and an introduction to mirrorless.  A couple of months ago I got an R5 and handed the RP down to my daughter.  The R5 and R6 are in a completely different league from the RP.  You have good glass already.  Get the R6 or the R5 if you can stretch your budget, although the R6 might do some things better for your interests.  Get the Control Ring adapter and don’t worry about RF glass for now.  Just my not so humble opinion.
