Before an After dropping an A6600 with the 100-400 GM lens (OUCH)

Very very sturdy the A6600 and also the 100-400 GM lens.

After a fine afternoon photographing away I stumbled on a stone sidewalk and dropped the cam with the lens attached. The right thumb wheel (outer aluminum top part only) came off the cam and also the eye cup. Thump-wheel top picked up from the street and was put back on (no problem). I have to order a new eye cup. The lens is okay, thank whomever you pray for.

Only the lens hood got a crack (easily repairable with duct tape ;-)).

Unfortunately I got a bit hurt myself, but that will autorepair as always.

The gear fell about 1 meter  ( 3 feet plus) down and really bounced badly on the sidewalk. People around me asked me if I was well insured :-)).

Shots before (birds) and after the fall (boats)

mating season for these birds here

The little white boat just restored from the 1930's
