Biased Studio Comparisons?
2

Just occurs to me that perhaps DPR studio comparisons are favoring FF by design. What I mean, to shoot the studio scene with the same field of view on M43, one must either use a lens 1/2 the focal length of that of the FF shot, or twice the distance, both of which means a degradation in details resolution. To be truely 'comparable' the camera test scene (remember we're comparing bodies not lenses) should be shot with the same lens accross all sensor sizes, from the same distance, which mean that the larger sensors' image would be cropped, and now we'd be looking at FF images at 1/4 the pixel density of the M43 for the same sensor MPix count. Which one would be showing the most details then?

In other words comparing the studio scene between difference size sensors taken with either a different FL or at different distance makes no sense if one's intent is to see how the bodies compare in their ability to capture the image that is projected onto the sensor no? So cross sensor comparisons of the studio scene is totally misleading IMO.
