AF-P (Focus-by-Wire) questions

It appears that all the Z lenses have AF-P (stepping motors, as opposed to SWM).

The AF appears to be fast and accurate. Does the lag in manual focusing in these AF-P lenses matter for someone who doesn't do a lot of manual focusing? I'm thinking it doesn't but I don't know if I'm missing some point.

Are these designs durable? I am not comparing them to purely mechanical, manual-focus, metal-body lenses. The AF lenses with SWM and Canon's USM lenses have survived at least a couple of decades. Can we expect similar durability from these lenses, if not better?

Are there any stats on failure rates of lenses with stepping motors (across brands)?

Please let me know your thoughts and/or experience.

Thanks.
