UV filters – Pan lenses on Oly cameras
1

Some years ago, Anders W and other members of this forum found a UV filter to significantly reduce the violet-hued chromatic aberration seen when using some Panasonic lenses on Olympus bodies. A summary of these findings was collated here:

https://alanwatsonforster.org/writing/mft-purple.html

As noted there, the UV filter should cut off at a fairly long wavelength, ideally around 430 nm. Most UV filters cut off closer to 400 or 410 nm, which doesn’t provide the full effect.

Moreover, the suitable UV filters listed there are hard to find and appear not to be multi-coated.

Do any of you have more up to date recommendations? I’d love to find coated 37 mm and 46 mm filters with a suitable transmission profile.
