X100F and XF 23mm F2

Hi all

Hope you are all keeping safe during this awful Pandemic

I have an XT30, 35mm 1.4, 23mm f2 and 14mm 2.8 ( I have followed joachims excellent 3 lens suggestion for travels)

I absolutely love the rendering of my 35mm and just cannot replicate the same look from my xf 23mm - the 23mm has a very strong contrast and the light falloff is not to my taste.

Is the lens on the x100f different? the SOOC look from the x100f seems to be a little different from the xf23mm f2 - softer contrast etc

I use the 23mm to take pictures of my toddler who can't sit still and daily lifestyle pictures. The 35mm is used as an environmental portrait lens.

Id like the softer look of the 35 but can't overly compromise on speed and autofocus which is why I don't think the xf 23mm 1.4 would be a good fit (as much as I love the look you get from that lens)

any advice would be appreciated - I am not a professional photographer

thank you
