ASI air pro.. Weird issue with polar alignment

I have an ASI Air Pro with a ZWO 120mm guide scope and a Star Adventurer Pro.

When i use the guide scope for polar alignment I am having some problems.

Everything is set up correctly and the App works fine. The ZWO is set as the main camera and it plate solves for polar alignment in the 60 degree apart positions.

Where it start to go weird is when it shows the Alt - Az adjustments. By way of example say the Alt correction is 20' and the Az 30'.

If I then adjust the Az (horizontal) I find that the Alt error increases or decreases significantly whilst the Az only changes slightly. I have the Star Adventurer on a leveling base so it isn't a level issue. It's a similar story with the Alt adjustments. It's not a straight transpose either, both Alt and Az change by differing amounts

It's virtually impossible to get the target in the cross hairs of the App as a result. The App correction values appear to bear liitle relation to the adjustments made using the Star watcher adjuster screws

Any ideas?
