Setting in the west currently, IC 405
1

I was looking around on Stellarium, and noticed IC 405, which is a large HII region in Auriga. Even though it's low in the sky at the end of twilight, I thought I'd give it a try.

It's definitely worth revisiting when it's high in the night sky.

This is a half hour of light with an H-alpha modded D5600 at 85 mm f/2.5

In adddition to IC 405, you can see the salt-and-pepper cluster, the Pinwheel cluster, the Starfish cluster, and HII regions the Spider nebula (and a hint of the Fly nebula), and some nebulosity around NGC 1893.

At lower right is the neighbor's bush. Maybe I'll sneak out some night and trim it.
