What to do with EF mount camera

There is endless debate about what to do with EF glass after moving over to an RF camera. One question that keeps coming to me is what do people do with their old EF camera after buying a new mirrorless. Looking at the number of threads about changing over to RF it would appear that the old camera is either sold or not used.

My thinking is to keep the old camera and use it as a second or backup one.
That way I can have one lens on the RF and a different one on the EF one. The need to change lenses in the field is then reduced and you can concentrate on taking photos.

In an ideal world I would have 2 R5s and all my glass would be RF mount but the cost of that would be enormous. Is it not better to get more out of the old equipment.

What do other people do ?

Canon EOS R5
