Options for long prime lens for wildlife

It seems with Sony, you pretty much have to come to Sony, cut your arm and bleed a dozen thousand dollars to play in the long prime lens for wildlife club (400/2.8 and 600/4).

A few questions:

Does anyone have a working solution with some 3rd party lens (e.g. Sigma 500/4) in EF mount that they get workable AF performance from? (Of course A9m2 and 200-600 native are going to spoil someone in terms of AF expectations)

And has anyone heard whether long prime wildlife lenses are in the works by any of the usuals 3rd parties (Sigma, Tamron)?
