How responsive is K-S1 to infrared?

In another DPR forum there was talk about infrared pictures and that you  need to utilize a camera where the infrared filter is removed from the front of the sensor, (which is as much as I have already earlier understood).

In that thread was an interesting comment that some cameras are more responsive to infrared than other, already as a normal, non modified model.

Does anybody have an idea if the Sony sensor in the K-S1 is more  or less sensitive to infrared than a "normal" camera (whatever that would be)?

I understand that I would  need  a suitable filter in front of, as an example, my Tamron 17-50 / 2.8. And the exposure time would be long (or very long?)

PS, any recomended filter for an "infrared test"?
