Very nice. I used the 20D quite a bit in the day. Seldom shot higher than 800. But, as your test demonstrates, the software just wasn't up to the task back then.

My first digital SLR was the original Nikon D1. It was noisy at 400 and unusable at 800. It offered 1600, but even the most generous shooters knew it was a joke. Plus, the camera was prone to heavy banding; even the base ISO would reveal it if pushed at all in post. I picked up a like-new copy again about a decade ago to play with for a couple hundred bucks and had only very slightly better results. It would be REALLY interesting to see what you could do with those files today!
