You didn't specify the type of wildlife photography that interests you. If it is just birding, then ignore what I am about to say. But if your wildlife tastes go towards the more adventurous, then consider a Sigma 60-600mm f4.5-6.3 DG OS Sport Lens. This gives you much more flexibility in range and subject. My primary lens is the older Sigma 50-500 DG OS HSM (Because the 60-600 doesn't come in the Pentax K-Mount).

Sometimes wildlife is huge and standing right next to you.
