Best video lens for X-T4
2

Hi Fuji Lovers,

I am considering to buy a new camera and for the obvious reasons the X-T4 is high on my list. Though being a stills photographer I will start to make video and like to learn from this forum what the best lenses are for video.

In my research I learned that Fuji themselves based on autofocus, breathing and stabilization recommend the following zooms and primes: 10-24/F4, 18-55F28-4, 50-140F2.8, 16F1.4, 35F1.4, 56F1.2.

My first serious video will be a short theater play. I had in mind to use the 18-55. However, as a theater stage is a bit dark setting I also learned from other internet forums to use F2 or better. The F2 requirement would potential negate each of the zooms.

I could use the 35F1.4, but I am little surprized Fuji recomments the lens  because of the accoustical noise produced by the lens itself (it could disturb the players)

I also learned that its best to use manual focus for making video, not autofocus.

Given these constrains, what are the opinions f this forum on lens usage?

Another option would be to buy a dedicated cine lens. The Meike MK 25 T2.2 is an affordable option (the fuji cine lenses are a stretch to my budget). Has somebody experience using the Meike lens?

Cheers
