Increase the glycerin concentration and see how it goes.

Working with it to create longer lasting bubbles, it always seemed to take more than recipes called for, remember, the more glycerin, the more opacity decreases.

You may want to try using an eyedropper or pediatric syringe, available from any pharmacy, to be more specific in the distribution of the solution.

I have also pondered this and wonder if plain H20 cooled to 40 degrees may work as well or with just a bit of glycerin.

Check this guy's channel - he uses a base coat of plain water to pull normal water since hydrogen bonding gives H20 self attraction, he has some very good tips & techniques for nice photos.
