This evening I picked up the 50r with the 32-63mm lens by the strap and the camera fell to the floor.
Both pins failed at the same time. The camera fell three feet on to a carpet with pad and the camera and lens were undamaged. Had the carpet been concrete it would have been a different story.

My advice is to replace these pins immediately. The pins look like they were shaped from two cheap paper clips after they gave out. Love the camera, not the pins.

A few years ago I was hiking in Zion with my XT3 and 55-200 on a strap around my neck. One of the triangle pins failed and the camera and lens fell to the ground from standing height, hitting the lens barrel on a rock. Fortunately the only damage was cosmetic (tough gear!) but I always replace the pins after this. I use some standard round ones.
