The ef-s system is at least "starving as fast" as the ef-m system. Canon released the 32mm, and Sigma released the 16+30+56mm f/1.4 primes for the ef-m system after the last ef-s release of an ef-s lens.

I`ll take your word about Sigma lens AF inconsistency on the 90D in OVF mode (I`ve not used Canon DSLRs in years and the 1 series for work were the last) but in LV mode, where the camera becomes a DSLR shaped M6-II there will be no difference . and that Sigma 18-35 F1.8 will handle far better on a camera with a proper grip than it will on a compact mirrorless body the size of a G3X for sure ..

It doesn't matter if no one ever makes any more new EF glass because the list of them is endless , the M system is a totally different matter .... If canon make a decent standard M zoom of the same quality as the 11-22 even if its as slow and do the right thing and put EFCS in the M6-II I`ll have one tomorrow (not a lot to ask is it especially EFCS) - better still the same camera in M5 form with the EVF built in, a deeper grip and IBIS ..

RP, fine - no problem with standard zooms there, even the ultra slow 24-105 F4-7.1 is decent and it`ll handle far better with EF lenses on an adapter to cover areas where RF glass is too expensive or missing (and it wont`t be missing for long as thats where canon are putting the development)
