thats called sample variation and the 15-45 is rife with it too . they really needed to step up and make a decent standard zoom for the 32mp M6-II , the 15-45 is shameful bundled with anything above an M100/200 level camera . there are good copies of the EFM 18-55 which are a lot better but I don`t know how they`d hold up on 32mP - samples vary there too and hard to get the lens new if at all .
Fully agree re. 15-45 - that lens is subpar and indeed shameful as kit lens bundled with M50 / M50 II / M6 II.
I do have a good copy of EF-M 18-55 IS STM - it definitely beats all EF-S 18-55 variants (and the ones from Nikon and Sony). But have not tested it on my M6 II yet, just got the camera 2 days ago.

R is underrated , people slam it for its weaknesses while failing to see its strengths . same with the RP to a degree, it may have less DR than a G7X 1" compact at base ISO (according to DXOmark) but you can use it an all light , its small, well made, ergonomic , cheap and the RF glass is superb. you can get an RP for similar money to an M6-II and 26Mp isn`t shabby
EOS R is not underrated. It does have decent enough 5D IV sensor, but everything else about that camera is meh. Not enough CPU power. And UI total fail. Inexplicable, why Canon did not give it same near-perfect UI as on 5D I - IV. Only back on track with R5/R6 again. That's why R did not sell very well and today there are hardly used units with less than 6k clicks available for as little as € 1200.
EOS RP similar story - old sensor (6D II), underpowered electronics and pretty much a Rebel user interface. More excusable though, due to very affordable price. Nevertheless I would not buy oan RP today but rather wait some more for the 2 EOS R bodies Canon will bring at prices below R6 to succeed R and RP. Maybe they come up with something decent enough. I expect they'll re-use 5D4/R sensor one more time in an "RP II", still without IBIS. No idea, what they might launch in between that and R6 however.
