Perhaps the OP can explain why it is of interest to him. Whilst I might like more accurate focus points perhaps, I think if I had too many I'd just confuse myself

I think my 1D mkIII had 45 AF points but only 19 were actually selectable with the remaining 26 as assistive. My Olympus E-M1 mkii has 121 AF points which cover most of the capture area. While I like having them at the extremities,  I think if I could only select every 2nd point, it would be just fine. Looking at new Sony and Canon FF mirrorless, the amount of AF points is pretty nuts.
