What is the Rebel Model with the most focus points?

My main reason for choosing the Canon T7i (800D) over the Canon T7 (2000D) was much more than focal points. See the comparison on the internet. I would never buy a Canon T7 (2000D) camera.

Yes I understand that there are other reasons, I am just not sure how I would use more than the 9 points on my now ageing camera even for BIF such as yours where I might well still stick to single depending on whether the background  is clear, as in your shot, or otherwise eg with a bird flying over water.   Thus I don't get why extra points between the outer points and the centre point help.  Perhaps trying to pick out one individual in a crowd whilst maintaining an off-centre framing?
