A1 - Buffer clearing with both CF-A and SD

On the A9ii I've been using fast SD card in both slots, shooting RAW in slot 1 and JPG in slot 2.  When I only had a single fast SD card (which I used for RAW shots), the buffer clearing seemed limited to how fast the JPG could get written to the slower card in slot 2, even though the files were smaller.  I had to upgrade the second card to be a fast SD card in order to get good buffer-clearing performance.

So now I have upgraded to the Sony A1 and the performance of the buffer-clearing on the fast SD cards is decent, but I know that it can be faster with CF-A cards.  Which brings me to my question:

Do I need to have CF-A cards in BOTH slots in order to get the fastest buffer-clearing speeds (even if the second slot is writing JPGs)?   I don't want to buy a single CF-A card if it's not going to give me the performance I desire when writing JPGs to a fast SD card in slot 2.

Thanks
