Hi, i really need some advice for a travel camera, i really want to know a solution to my needs here, since i have realized it is impossible for me walk with a big heavy camera

I really liked the Lumix LX 100 dials and autofocus (missing tilt all the time)

I love Fuji colours, currently using X70 with the great 21mm wide angle, yet slow focusing in low light and limited to 50mm crop zoom

My dream camera was the Nikon DL18-50, which they cancelled, leaving me grieving since i love wide angle photography, it would have been perfect - would even have made acceptable 100mm crops

Now what do i do??

Absolutely need:

  • jacket pocketable camera (possibly one other lens in other pocket)
  • tilt screen (not swivel, preferably also down tilt or even side tilt)
  • marked exposure compensation wheel (i love dials and buttons)
  • fast enough focus for capturing sudden situations or children playing
  • 24mm wide (i have used that for a decade now, 28 feels limiting)
  • 100mm zoom or tele (or quality crop zoom)
  • able to make sharp a4 printable photos in low light

Really would like

  • microphone port (i have a red micro)
  • ability to video lectures of one hour duration
  • a good solid grip (also fine if optional)
  • no fiddly lens cap (always a struggle with gloves)
  • hot shoe (for my wonderful voightlander viewfinders)
  • in-camera usb charging (with normal powerbank)
  • less than 400gram total (maybe one light extra lens)
  • a3 printable in low light (i have a a3+ printer)

I would check G5X II, seems like best fit for your use:
