Karl, thank you. I do already own the RF 15-35/2.8L IS and RF 70-200/2.8L IS but in the midrange I have the RF 24-105/4L IS I got in my EOS R kit when I bought it. I had been thinking of getting the RF 50/1.2L with it but have now thought about just completing the f/2.8L IS set and calling it a day for a while.

I also currently use an EF 85/1.4L IS so covered for portraits between it and the 70-200.
Have often owned both a 24-70/2.8 and 24-105/4 since I use them differently so have really wondered how people like their RF 24-70/2.8L IS. Thank you for your feedback.

It goes to show everyone has different needs and strategies when it comes to photography. Some random comments below:

Based on what you wrote, the one lens you might think about is the 28-70F2L instead of the 24-70f2.8L. I thought about this, but I don't think I would want to carry the weight as most of my photography will be taken when I am traveling.

I had an old 85f1.8 lens and the 85f2 is much sharper if a little funky in terms of focus, but if I had the 85F1.4L and the R5 or R6, I would not bother with the 85f2, although someone else on this topic says they made this switch.

I end up shooting a lot indoors and in confined areas and wanting a wider lens, thus the RF15-35f2.8L was my first RF-L lens.

When my kids were playing sports, I needed faster and longer lenses (70-200f2.8, which die, and 100-400f4.5-5.6L, which I still have). I will mostly be using my camera when I get to travel again and I find I mostly need lenses at the shorter end and wider for indoors without flash. I can't seem to justify the RF70-200f2.8L, I thought about the RF70-200f4, but figure I am probably OK with the 24-240 for that range if I don't need f2.8.

Well I feel comfortable enough buying used lenses on the Fred Miranda. Got my RF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM there at a great price.. Otherwise I would have stayed with the EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6L IS.since I was planning to use that for travel with its extra reach. The 100-400 is great but doesn't pack as small at the 70-300. The RF 70-200 packs even smaller which is nice.
