with exposure bracketing, I set the the initial exposure point and delta, ( for example start at +0 exposure, and use 1/2 increments )

When I press the button the camera then takes 7 shots at 0.0, +0.5, +1.0, +1.5, -0.5,-1.0 and -1.5 exposure

Its great for HDR, but also useful for situations when you are unsure what the best exposure might be. And since the camera is fast and the memory card huge - there is little downside to take 7 shots instead of 1

ps. Adobe Lightroom even has the ability to 'stack' all 7 photos together.
