Precisely. If you merely adjust your exposure, the camera will track much easier. And that's what's happening with D9 off.

Someone said it's behind the DSLR in terms of low light, but you can just shoot it like a DSLR and get all the benefits of the mirrorless camera. It's a reallly useful feature.
