If you enjoy using M cameras now, and you enjoy the lens selection now, i don't see why you wouldn't be happy with an M6 Mark II.

I have an M5, its a good camera but i dont think ill stick around this system for longer. But i have specific needs that canon does not meet.

Exactly. It's a capital expenditure that depreciates and you only "upgrade" if it significantly improves your ability to generate revenue and profit. When we had family photos done, I asked the photographer what she would do if her Nikon D600 died today. She said she would buy another used or refurbished D600 if she could find one. If not, the next cheapest full frame FX body to the D600 she could find.

The point? It did what she needed to do and she had the lenses that she needed. If EF-M does what the OP needs, then he is great. If it doesn't or you think you will outgrow it, now is not a bad time to start looking elsewhere.
