Voigtlander 75mm on M10. Framelines and setup questions.

Hello all,

Please bear with me as I usually use two Leica M lenses, and it is my first time with a third-party lens.

I just received the Voigtlander 75mm f/1.5 Nokton Aspherical Lens for my M10-R. Very pleased with the sharp but yet gentle rendition of the subjects. I am actually pleasantly surprised with how easy it is to focus with the rangefinder.

I have two questions please:

1- the lens is recognized as R adapter by default. I changed it to to be the M 75mm f/1.4 for proper exif info later. Is this a normal thing to do or is the lens defective?

2- the framelines don’t seem totally accurate, as the subject, if too close to the lines, gets cropped. I presume it is an approximation of the frame for that lens. Do I need to set those up for a more accurate framing or is this normal? In LiveView what I see (sensor view I guess) is however very accurate.

Thank you.
