Whiling away while waiting - some local endangered residents
14

The bushland near my home is full of Red-tailed Black Cockatoos and their white-tailed cousins, the Carnabys, at present.  Nothing to be pleased about really because their normal habitat away from residential areas has been cleared relentlessly for many years to make way for new development as the population grows.  Their increased local presence does provide the opportunity to ponder their future and perhaps do something about it.

Female Red-tailed Black Cockatoo.  I like the dreamy background.

Juvenile male Red-tailed Black Cockatoo.

Juvenile Elegant Parrot. Not endangered.
