There are a lot of variables at work in these decisions. One is age - at least for me. I'm 80+ and rarin' to go. But I want light and easily handled with excellent IQ. That's one reason why I got the M62 and a couple of lenses. It's light, the IQ is excellent and it will stop fast movers. By that I mean jets at air shows and high speed rail. I shoot those a lot.

At my age, I'm tied of lugging 20 pounds of gear thru airports. And the M system works for me. As does a light RP rig. Those systems will likely out last me. So, it's all good.

Nowadays all the new full frame cameras are small, and they will become smaller. At the contrary m43 and aps-c were small and they become every year bigger. With your R system you can take photos 24h/24h. For the weight, just think older photographers only 20 years ago with film reflex cameras made from metal, or the older ones with big formats. Just rent a full frame camera with a good lens and see the results even with high iso.
