How frequently your Canon EOS R5 has locked up?

I reported (here) that my EOS R6 locked up in early November 2020 during a night shoot that involved normal settings (ie no long exposures) because I was in a lit carpark.  I intended to take some longer exposures.  When my camera froze, the LCD remained on but frozen.  No buttons worked.  I had to power the camera off and then back on.  The image I was taking was not captured.  My SD card was a new Sandisk Extreme Pro UHS-II.

This has not reoccurred.  My theory at the time was that a powerful radio transmitter antenna, which were clustered overhead, might have been responsible.  I had just taken part in a discussion as to why many of the car alarms from vehicles parked right there often did not work.  Remote controls to vehicle doors and alarms were often inoperable at this location.  Since the R6 has some WiFi connections (which were OFF at the time), I assumed it was possible that a link between the radio tower and my R6 freezing might be on the cards.

Numerous R6 owners have since contacted me to state that they too have had their camera freeze.  The only solution that worked was turning the camera off and then on, or removing the battery and then replacing it.

Since the R5 and R6 share many of the same electronic modules inside, it's entirely possible that the same cause is responsible for both cameras freezing randomly.  I have no current explanation for the problem.
