Re: Future of Canon M Series - Invest or Sell?

I'm in the same boat as the original poster. I own a m50 and bought the 15-55 & 55-200 telelens as a package deal. I then bought a used 22mm pancake lens on bargain. I found myself using the 22mm often and switching between the 55-200 and the 22mm.

I enjoy taking walks and shooting everything nature, landscape. Since the m50 is not weather sealed it's been a concern from me that I need to take special care of the camera if it all of a sudden started to drizzle outside.

I've also looked at the ef-m lenses leaked roadmap for 2021 which to me doesn't look to impressive. Which makes me think more and more about just selling all of my gear and jumping to a eos RP/R and picking up rf lenses instead.

As for my own style of photography, I enjoy shooting landscape and really like the 22mm. I would really like to try to use more wide lenses, like a fisheye lens or similar. But I also like to use my 55-200 to come closer.

To me I see two options:

1) Stay with ef-m. Buy a couple of interesting lenses of the coming years for the ef-m. Perhaps try buying some fish-eye lenses and experiment with that. I feel like I might hit the "roof" on the amount of lenses available. Both by Canon and third party manufacturers. Maybe I'm wrong?

2) Sell my ef-m gear and buy a FF mirrorless camera like RP/R. Then based on my budget, buy a lens like 24-240/24-105. Perhaps save a bit and try to buy a shorter focal length lens.

I have no idea what to do.
