multiple lamps will all be on the same 60 cycle sine wave ... thats the problem ... you need a shutter speed slower than the ac frequency so you get the complete cycle of color variation ... or the shutter needs to sync with the peak of the voltage cycle ... that's what flicker reduction is

LED lights are often more problematic because they actually shut on and off 60 times a second ... you can get really weird results for that reason ...
