Are there any restrictions in aps-c mode over FF mode a7r4?

I've ordered an a7r4 to use exclusively in crop mode with the Tamron 17-70 2.8. Tired of waiting for Sony to make something better than an a6600, tired of Fuji and there dials and x-trans shenanigans and lack of 4:3 ratio options. Thought this might work out as a dedicated aps-c body with the option to add FF options in the future if I want, need.

Really didn't like the 24-105 f4 or 28-200 either and the 17-70 seemed super sharp on the a6600 after I scrutinised the files, but that a6600 camera, gosh what is Sony thinking, its 2021!

But I was just curious, what restrictions are imposed by Sony and the aps-c mode, can you use pixel shift for example, are compressed-uncompressed all viable options? I know, what a waste of the FF sensor but honestly, I aint shooting 60mp on every shot in raw and unless Sony introduces small raw then it's not for me, I'd prefer to shoot crop from the off.
