Re: How frequently your Canon EOS R5 has locked up?

I've only shot with R5 for a period of 5 days on a rental R5 with RF 24-105/4L IS, the original LP-E6NH battery and firmware version 1.2.0. Used together with 256GB Lexar 1667x SDXC V60 card. During the 5 days I did around 2100 shots and I experienced two lockups. Not very encouraging especially given that I am shooting landscapes and the workflow is not like shooting birds at 20fps.
I am still waiting to see if there would be a new announcement by the end of March for a potential R5S before buying into Canon again.
I've been a Canon only user for decades until the end of 2019 when I decided to pull the trigger and got Sony A7R4, FE 16-35/2.8 GM, FE 24-70/2.8 GM and FE 70-200/2.8 GM OSS to be used alongside my Canon gear mostly due to the dynamic range and low light inferiority of my 5DSR.
Two days ago I sent all my Sony gear to Adorama - to cut the story short, I don't like Sony colors, I don't like the body ergonomics, FE 24-70/2.8 GM is total disappointment, I don't like the sun bursts of any of the Sony lenses above, they also have terrible flare. Menus are difficult to adjust to, especially when switching back and forth between my 5DSR and the Sony. And of course I get truly frustrated when I can't do anything in the menu while the camera is flushing its buffer to the memory card. I understand all the pros of the Sony system but it's just not for me so I decided to end this sad love story and get a Canon mirrorless, but I feel a bit discouraged by the ongoing issues.
Was the lens firmware also updated? When the R5 came out Canon released a firmware update for the RF 24-105L to make it work with the R5 IBIS.
