Nisi NC 77mm and 300 f/4 Pro problem
1

I bought a Nisi NC 77mm to carry with me for occasional macro using my mz 300mm f/4 Pro lens on an EM1 mark lll.

I can't get critical focus at all. Stable or handheld. Well lit good contrast target, sufficient shutter speed and with and without flash. All images are soft. AF useless.

Putting the same Nisi onto a Sony RX10M4 using a 72-77 step up ring. All images are sharp.

So I tried reversing the Nisi and handholding it against the 300 f4Pro. I could now achieve critical focus and AF. I've ordered a 77/77  male male  ring (if one exists) to see if that also works.

If not will have to go back.

Anybody had a similar problem? Any ideas why this is so.

Very inconvenient for a not inexpensive close up lens.
