I have just bought a new laptop, a HP Spectre with a glossy screen. Normally I would prefer a matt but this is anti reflective and I'm really pleased with it, best of both worlds.

Out of curiosity, would you mind elaborating what is best/good regarding a glossy screen with anti-glare?

Matte isn't reflective making it ideal for photo editing. Anti-glare should in principle have reduced glare (which in my opinion still sucks for photo editing), doesn't it then make a semi-gloss screen?

I still don't see how any form of glossy can be beneficial for photography (or any laptop use).
