Sorry for the super late response

Thanks for your input Chris, this is very interesting. I have a couple of questions for you:

- which lens do you use to replace the 24-70mm zoom lens?

I have always preferred primes so never owned a 24-70. I have the 22mm, 30mm and 56mm for my eos-m and so these effectively replace (for me) what a 24-70 would do. (I don't like to shoot wider than 35mm, I don't shoot landscapes)

- How does the M6ii perform in low light? Yesterday I took pictures of my stepdaughter’s birthday with my Olympus EM10ii and I could not get a decent shutter speed without cranking the iso above 1600

I think its performance is probably similar to other recent APS-C cameras. You can try this tool here on dpreview. I find it it fine for low-light indoor photos of the kids, but yes that does often mean high ISO's. It all depends on what you are comparing it to. Sure a full frame sensor would have much less noise/ISO. This is one of the reasons that I only shoot with primes on APS-C.

- was the 6D too bulky for you? (that’s my main fear for the R6)

Exactly, I loved it but with 2 young kids I needed a small camera to be able to take it everywhere. There is already so much stuff to carrying around for the kids!

I really wanted the RP, but at the time there were not small lenses so everything needed an adapter which added some weight and bulk. Now the RF50mm is out I might have gone down that route (I mainly shoot at 50mm) - but in the end, I'm really happy with the M6ii. I've ended up getting into some wildlife photography which wouldn't have been possible on the RP so much. (M6ii shoots 14fps or 30fps in rawa burst mode!).

I like the M100 to snap pictures of everyday life but I like to have a bit more control with a more traditional body (with EVF and more dials)

Exactly why I went to the M6ii! That new compact 28-70 from Sigma looks great! For people looking for the smallest flexible FF package that would definitely make the Sony system appealing.

Thanks for your feedback!

I'm sorry it's so late! I'm not quite sure where the past 2 weeks went :-/
