Single focus over f5.6 with z5

I'm still exploring the merits of moving over to a z5 but have a concern about auto focus when aperture is over f5.6. I've been reading Thom Hogan's detailed report on the camera and he stresses on more than one occasion that this can be a problem.

As much of my photography is landscapes, often at smaller apertures,  I wonder if this will be a deal breaker for me.

Do any of you have experience with this issue?
