XF 50/1 + old town at night
27

Hi guys,

the more I use the 50, the more I love it. Not only does it render beautiful images wide open when narrow DOF and silky smooth background is desirable, but it´s also a stellar performer whenever more depth of field and corner to corner sharpness is required for photos of say landscape and architecture. And I also love the rich and clean stars from point light sources.

Here are two recent shots of the old town Znojmo (Czech republic) at night. The second one is a composite from two exposures - 30s @ at f/8 for the bottom and 3s @ f/1 for the sky. There are tons of light pollution above the city of course, but I wanted to capture at least the few stars that were visible (it´s also better to view on a larger screen, on a smartphone the stars can be quite hard to see ).
